An Arenac County man thought notifications regarding a $257,631 BIG CA$H Jackpot prize were a scam for six months before he finally called the Michigan Lottery and found out he’d really won!
The 41-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $257,631 after he was selected in a random drawing that took place Feb. 14. He earned entries into the giveaway by playing the eligible BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games online at Michiganmilotteryconnect.casinowinning.net. “I saw an email back in February informing me that I won a $257,631 second chance prize, but I figured it was just a scam and I deleted the email,” said the player. “In addition to the email, I received several calls about the prize over the last few months, but I still thought it was a scam. Recently, I decided to look into it, and when I found out it was a real prize, I was floored!
“Now that I’m at the Lottery office, it’s finally starting to sink in that this is real. This prize is going to be life-changing!”
The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy a new home and a new car.
