A Gladwin County man purchased a multi-draw Fantasy 5 ticket to ensure he wouldn’t miss a drawing while he was on vacation, and it paid off when he returned to a $110,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot win!

Douglas Woodside, of Beaverton, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the May 3 drawing to win the big prize: 04-18-23-27-29. He bought his winning ticket at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3655, located at 1380 Estey Road in Beaverton. Beaverton is about 35 miles northeast of Mount Pleasant.

“My wife and I were leaving for vacation, so I purchased a multi-draw Fantasy 5 ticket to cover the days we would be gone,” said Woodside. “About a week later, after we’d gotten home from our trip, I ed to check the ticket.

“I looked it over three times, and then I had my wife look it over to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. Once she confirmed what I was seeing, I immediately started shaking. I couldn’t believe it! Winning is such a relief.”

Woodside, 59, recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his big prize. With his winnings, he plans to complete some home improvements and then save the remainder.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Players may win prizes in the regular nightly drawing, the Double Play drawing, or both. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000.
